Orion signs with Rogue Records America
Manchester UK artists ORION have signed on with Rogue Records America for an exclusive 2 albums / 2 year deal. The Instrumental Djent act has started writing material for the successor to the 2010 album “Where Whales Go To Die”
ORION’S music is melodic progressive metal with very ambient landscapes, the album “where whales go to die” caught the attention of an A&R scout at Rogue and this prompted talks about signing up.
“When I first heard “whales” I was drawn into the music as if it were a story. I really just fell in love with the sound on first listen.”, said the labels owner Dean Martinetti.
Ryan Robb the bands founder and guitarist, had this to say “The band and I are extremely excited to be part of Rogue Records, We're already working on our full length that will be released this June and we can’t wait to see what this year brings!.”
ORION is looking to release their next record sometime in June of 2012, a date and album name will be released soon.

Those city lights was formed late 2011 by David Hurst and Mark Weller, creating music crammed with emotion the duo is inspired by such artists as; Scale the Summit, Andy Mckee, Olafur Arnalds and Hans Zimmer. Through the use of both technical guitar elements and massive orchestrations TCL produces unique soundscapes and ambient textures.

Rogue Records America Sign Snovonne
Rogue Records America continues their aggressive growth with the capture of female progressive metaller Snovonne. The label will release her second album ‘The Nightmare Bride,’ in early 2012.
Originally from Slovakia, now hailing from Germany by way of UK and USA, Snovonne had an equally eclectic musical upbringing thanks to her jazz-loving grandfather who encouraged her to take up writing music at an early age. These varied inspirations forge a genre-defying sound characterized by soaring melodies laid over heavy riffs and pounding percussion, wrapped in a beautifully emotive yet powerful singing voice.
Commenting on her decision to sign with Rogue Records America, Snovonne said “I felt there was a good connection with the team at Rogue. They really bought into what I’m about as a musician.”
“It goes without saying we love Sno’s music but from a label perspective she’s also an artist with a great image who we think will catch the metal-loving public’s attention,” said Rogue Records head honcho Dean Martinetti.
A release date for ‘The Nightmare Bride,’ will be announced shortly.
