Deathbreed – A New Breed Of Swedish Death Metal

In recent years, death metal has mainly focused on taking tempo and technique changes and styles to their limits, alternatively, to take back the music to its gritty roots.
Deathbreed do not care about these conditions and instead plow their own brutal path,
with inspirations like: Aeon, Soreption and As You Drown etc.

The band was formed in 2009 when Ted and Samuel met up and had the same vision for Death Metal. In the first years the band struggled with many line up changes.
That did not stop Ted and Samuel for going on making songs and playing shows with a different line up on almost every show.

2011 – The band line up was solidified, (Vocals: William Hultqvist, Guitar: Ted Dahlberg and Samuel Englund, Bass: Anton Flodin and Drums: Emil Nissilä).

In the fall Deathbreed WON the Metal festival “Nordfest” opening act competition. Which drew a lot of attention to the band. After that Deathbreed went into the studio to record the EP “Your Stigmata” followed by a support gig for the mighty AEON.

2012 – In the end of January Deathbreed signed with the label Pantherfarm. Which released the EP “Your Stigmata” March 10 2012. The EP was praised by the critics.

– “Technically perfect. Sometimes perverse in its originality.”

2013 – The band struggles with another line up change where William quits the band and Samuel changes position to the bands new vocalist and Gottfrid Norberg Waxin joins in on guitar.

In mid-April 2013 DEATHBREED joins the highly successful 10 gig European tour with DIABOLICAL and SOREPTION under the name “Neogenesis Tour – Second Chapter”.

In October the band enters the studio to record their debut album: ”New World Order”

2014 – During the spring Gottfrid leaves the band and the most recent line up change is made. Johan Andersson joins in on guitar.

In late September Deathbreed signs a multiple record deal with the record label ROGUE RECORDS AMERICA.
